you connect the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or the appliance itself is damaged.
- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by

Preparing for use

Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.

Push excess cord into the opening in the back of the appliance. To fix the cord, push it into
the narrow part of the opening (Fig. 1).

Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket.

Clean the detachable parts (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).

Flush the appliance (see section ‘Flushing the appliance’ below).
