Inserting Text

Recording for the first time with the DPM 9220

: Check that the DPM has power - the batteries 

have been inserted correctly! Then unlock the „on/off“ switch on the back of the device. 

 

Ending the dictation 

Press the EOL button (4) on the DPM 9220: When you are finished with the dictation and do not wish to 
make any further changes. This only functions if the device is in stop mode and something has already been 
recorded to the file!

        

 

The functions of the EOL button are as follows: 
• Pressing the EOL button once marks the current file as finished. The file is closed and assigned the 

EOL symbol:      . 

After closing the file, the device automatically creates a new, empty file. 

 

Inserting text into the current file:

 Move the playback cursor to the corresponding location in the file. 

Stop the playback. Press the INS/OVR button followed by the REC button and dictate your addition.         

(In insertion mode the LED glows green!)

Inserting text into a saved audio file: 

Select the corresponding file using the Jog Dial and confirm the 

selection by pressing on the Jog Dial. Unlock it by pressing the EOL button ... then follow the steps 
described above.  

To end the process: 

Either press the fast-forward/reverse position or press the REC button and end 

the insertion mode by pressing the INS/OVR button again. (Press the EOL button again.)
