Signal Key
R
The handset key R has multiple functions.
During a conversation: A short key press initiates an enquiry
during a call. A long key press activates the speaker or hands-
free mode.
In the idle state: A long key press activates the speaker or
hands-free mode. A short key press activates the shortcut menu
(refer to
Menu Shortcuts
starting on page 53).
Key Lock
In the idle state press the left soft key
D
and

successively to
switch the key lock on.
To switch the key lock off again press

Number Keys
The number keys are used to directly enter telephone numbers
and names, including Vanity phone numbers (which use let-
ters standing for specific digits of a phone number). Press the
0
key for a longer period to insert a pause in predial mode.
When entering text, you can use the arrow keys to move the
cursor to the beginning or end of the entry. Press the “down”
arrow key long to delete individual numbers/characters. The
Esc
soft key cancels the entire procedure. The cursor moves
on automatically if there is input or no new character for a
time. See

Switching Off
To switch off the handset, press the right soft key
E
for a
longer period (approx. 2 sec.). Switch on the handset again
with the same key.
SOS Key
A separate key on the top left side of the handset activates an
SOS call or message in idle mode. See
