Enable the healthcare pendant control
Healthcare pendant control is a device that allows a patient to control
the TV from a bed in a hospital room. It provides a built-in speaker for
bedside audio and a few keys to control the TV functions such as power
on/off, channel up/down and volume control. It is also known as pillow
speaker.

Enter the Philips Hospitality setup menu.

Press to select one of the following:

YES
: To enable the healthcare pendant control.
•
NO
: To disable the healthcare pendant control.

Note
• Before you enable the pendant control, make sure that the device is
properly connected to the TV.

Use the analog pendant control
The analog pendant or the pillow speaker provides a built-in speaker,
a volume control, and one dual purpose button that is used to select
the channels and power the TV on/ off.

between the TV and the external device connected to the TV.

: To store the settings that are modified using the

: To enable or disable the healthcare pendant control.
This is available only when you select
COMMUNICATION >
OFF.

: Most commonly used connection.

: When the set-top box supports this protocol.

MULTI RC
: To use Multi RC.
•
SMART RC
: To access PayTV channels using Smoovie remote
control.
•
OFF
: To turn off the communication between the TV and the
set-top box.
