Enter name mode.

Select the channel number you want to
name.

Move to first character slot.
If you are in Personal mode, press the

 key to cycle through the

list of name and stop at your desired
name.
If you are in Name mode, a cursor
appears for you to start the input of
characters or to edit existing character.
Select the character you want. Move to
next character slot by the

button

and select the next character. You can
enter up to a maximum of 5
characters. After naming the channel,
press

 button repeatedly until

name appears on the top left hand
corner of the screen. This will ensure
that the name is stored in the memory.
