TROUBLESHOOTING
If the unit malfunctions, check out the following before calling for service.
Malfunction Check/Remedy
If nothing operates even
when switched on
There is a power failure.
The fuse is blown or the circuit breaker is inactivated.
The unit is not connected to the power supply.
When unit does not get
cold enough
A large amount of items or warm product was put in the unit.
The machinery section is not well ventilated.
The unit is in direct sunlight.
The door is frequently opened.
The alarm device is
activated
The fuse is blown or the circuit breaker is inactivated.
The power cord is not plugged in.
The circuit breaker is inactivated or the voltage is abnormally low.
The door is not securely closed.
The door is opened for over 3 minutes while adding or removing
items.
There is a frequent or a great quantity change in the items inside the
unit.
The alarm device does not
function when the alarm
test switch is pressed.
The nickel-cadmium batteries are not completely charged. If so, run
the unit for about 3 hours, and check again.
If only the buzzer or only the alarm lamp functions when the alarm
test switch is pressed, the one that does not function should be
replaced.
The temperature recorder
does not function properly.
The quartz motor rotation check gear does not turn.
a) A battery is not installed.
b) The battery was run down.
c) The tape sealing of the battery was not removed.
The recording paper does not advance.
a) The marking cartridge is not properly installed.
b) The recording paper is caught on the sprocket.
c) The used recording paper compartment is filled.
d) The recording paper is not folded properly.
The temperature is not recorded
a) The lid closed tightly.
The unit is noisy.
The floor is not sturdy.
The unit is not set up securely.
The back of the unit is against a wall.
There is something like a container behind the unit.
