OPERATION CONTROL
Temperature control
This unit is set at the factory to maintain the proper chamber temperature (4
o
C±1
o
C). No temperature
adjustment is necessary.
Defrost
The heater built-in the condenser automatically defrosts during operation. There is no need for routine
defrosting of the unit.
Alarm devices
This unit indicates malfunction with the lamp and the buzzer under the following conditions:
1) The power supply fails because of a power failure, an unplugged power cord, or a blown fuse etc.
2) The chamber temperature is above 6
o
C or below 2
o
C. The warning activation temperatures are set
by the warning activation indicators which are fixed in the automatic temperature recorder.
Temperature alarm
If the warning device is activated, it will continue to be activated even if the chamber temperature returns
to normal. The alarm can be deactivated only when the chamber temperature returns to a level between
the upper and lower limit (between 6
o
C and 2
o
C) and the alarm switch is turned off. After the reset,
make sure to set the alarm switch to on again.
Protective circuit
If the temperature controller malfunctions, or if the chamber temperature falls or rises, the unit is designed
so that the chamber temperature will be controlled by the warning activation indication needles in the
automatic temperature recorder. The chamber temperature will be maintained at about 2
o
C, if it falls or
at about 6
o
C if it rises. In this case, the temperature alarm will continue to function.
In case of power failure, compressor malfunction, the above temperature will not be maintained even if
the protective circuit is activated.
NOTE
The battery for power failure alarm is an article for consumption. It is recommended that the battery will
be replaced about every 3 years. Contact our sales representative or agent at the time of replacement
of the battery for recycling.
REMOTE ALARM TERMINAL
The terminal to which a lead wire of remote alarm is connected is positioned in the box at the rear bottom
of the cabinet.
The contact capacity is DC 24 V, 1 A. The contact is
closed (ON) under the alarm condition.
To connect a lead wire, remove the box cover by
unscrewing 6 screws. Connect the lead wire to the
contact shown in the figure. After the connection, replace
the cover and fix it with screws.
