Needle threader (Model 4.0)
To make threading the needle easier and
quicker, use the PFA FF needle threader
(22). Low er the presser foot. Turn the
handw heel until the needle is at its
highest position. Place the needle thread
under hook A and hold it taut. M ove the
needle threader fully dow nw ards and
turn it tow ards the needle so that the
small hook B goes through the needle eye.
Place the thread into the hook from below .
Turn the needle threader tow ards the rear,
releasing the thread carefully, and allow
the threader to move upw ards. You can
now pull the thread through the needle
eye.
Threading the twin needle
Insert the tw in needle.
Fit the second spool pin and place one
spool of thread on each pin.
In the left threading slot (12) you w ill
À
nd
tension disk C. During threading, make
sure that you pass one thread left and one
thread right over tension disk C.
Carry on threading in the usual w ay, but
make sure the threads are not tw isted
w ith each other.
Pull the threads right and left into thread
guide (23) and thread the needles.
Note: You cannot use the needle threader for a
twin needle.
