4. ADJUSTING THE GROOVING DEPTH
The lower limit position of the blade can be adjusted so as to
make groove cuts.
The maximum grooving depth of the saw must be set so
that the blade is not in contact with the saw base, as the
blade could damage the base. To adjust the depth, proceed
as follows:
1.
Lift the saw blade to its highest position.
2.
Unfasten the nut
(C) Fig.12
.
3.
Turn the groove depth screw
(B)
until the required depth is
reached.
4.
Tighten the locking nut
(C)
.
N.B.
: If the grooving stop
(A)
is set too high, the blade will
not cut through the workpiece fully. Always do a test cut
every time you change the grooving depth.
5. SLIDE MECHANISM
1.
Turn the rail lock knob
(A) Fig.13
anticlockwise to release
the slide mechanism.
2.
Pull or push the cutting arm handle to slide the saw head
on the rails as required.
3.
Turn the rail lock knob
(A) Fig.13
clockwise to lock the slide
mechanism.
N.B.
: Important! Before transporting the mitre saw, make
sure that the slide mechanism is properly locked.
The circular working area on the table is a «hazardous area». Never place your hands inside this area when the tool is
operating.
