VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
Tread wear indication
Tires have some wear indications
which are molded-in grooves. When the
indicators appear on the tread surface,
the remaining depth of the tread is 1.6 mm
or less and the tire should be replaced.
Tire air pressure
The air pressure of the tires should
check at least once per month, when
the tires are cold. Under-inflation cause
heat and decrease the life of the tire.
Over inflation has also negative effects
on the convenient driving.
Tire size
Your vehicle size is molded in the wall of
the your tire as follows:
185/65 R 15, in which 185 is the tire width
in mm, 65 is the ration of the tire height to
width, R means radial structure and 15 is
the diameter of the wheel in inch.
Tire rotation
The front tires are worn more than rear
tires due to the braking, driving and
steering forces in the front wheel drive.
So to avoid uneven wear of your vehicle
tires and to prolong their life, rotate the
tires as illustrated every 10000 km.
Warning
-Damaged tires are dangerous. Avoid driving
with damaged, worn or over-inflated tires.
-Use always same type radial tires for front and
rear wheels. Never use tires with crisscross
pattern. Your vehicles wheels are not for tubed
tires. Do not use tubed tires.
-Never drive with worn, cracked and
unadjusted air pressure tires. Under-inflated
tires are worn rapidly, cause increase of the
fuel consumption and decrease of steerability.
Caution
Underinflated Tires: There is a risk tread
throwing or separation of the casing, which
could give rise to rapid deflation or even a
blow- out. The tires are subject to exceptional
stress so they overheated.
Kerb Contact: There is a risk of deformation, cuts
or blisters of the casing, which is overstretched.
This can lead to rapid deflation or a blow- out.
Hitting chuckhole: There is risk of wheel
deforming or tire damaging. This type of impacts
usually causes the cutting of the internal layer
of the tire which is not obvious from outside and
this will increases by more driving and causes
the tear of the outer layer. Tear of the outer layer
causes the abnormal wear of the tread in one
part of the tire and may cause rapid deflation of
the tire or the burst of the tire.
