DWG. A1.1
B)
Holding surfaces group and profile locking
It is made of aluminium and steel components and of pneumatic components (actuators)
connected by means of commercial bolts and nuts, (DWG. A1.2 and A1.3). The profile holding
surfaces and the locking profile are placed directly on the base plate. The left one is fixed while
the right one is movable and moves horizontally by means of bushings on round section rods
and is pneumatically actuated. On each of them are fixed the reference shoulders for the profile
positioning, where also counterprofiles can be fixed.
The locking plates move vertically by means of plastic bushings on round section rods and are
pneumatically activated by two actuators fixed on two fixed plates, which have been reinforced
against deflection by aluminium tension rods. Actuators are connected to the locking plates by
means of steel and plastic sleeves. The locking plates are electrically isolated from the rest of
the machine in order to permit the correct functioning of our security system, which avoids
squeezing of the operator’s hands.
The profile holding plates and the profile locking plates have a different shape, according to the
various machine types.
Models WM1/LS and WM1/LS-M have removable welding seal limitation blades with the
possibility to put heating rods (electric resistors) inside them, in order to obtain the machine
complete with the optional (heated welding seal limitation blades). It is used, mainly, to weld
PVC profiles coated with an external coloured film.
Model WM1/LE has fixed blades for the limitation of the welding seals, which are obtained
directly in the plates during processing. This type of solution is used above all when welding
only white coloured PVC profiles.
