Cushion, Cover and Convex Insert Placement
Note:
To correctly orient the components: Refer to the label on the bottom of the cushion, the
label on the Convex Insert, and the image on the cover.
Cushion Placement:
1. Place the cushion directly on the seat.
Note:
If
a seat insert is used, place it inside the cover,
beneath the cushion.
When possible, use the hook or loop fasteners
to further secure the cushion to the seating surface.
2. Have the individual sit on the cushion, making
sure the boniest prominences are supported by the
air cells.
Check to make sure that the cushion is properly sized to the individual and the
wheelchair.
Cover Removal:
Unzip the cover. Remove the cover
from the cushion.
Cover Placement:
1. Unzip the cover.
2. Insert the cushion into the cover, front edge first,
with the contoured foam facing up.
3. Close the zipper.
Warnings:

The AirLITE must be used with the supplied cover.

Inspect the cover for damage and replace if necessary.

Inspect the foam portion of the product for damage and replace if necessary.
Convex Insert Placement:
Place the Convex Insert inside the cover, between the bottom of the cushion and the bottom
of the cover. For correct orientation, refer to the images in this manual and to the labeling
on the cushion and on the Convex Insert. If desired, use the hook and loop fastener strips to
secure the Convex Insert to the cushion by attaching a hook strip to the top of the Convex
Insert and a loop strip to the bottom of the cushion.
Warnings:

DO NOT use the Convex Insert if your wheelchair does not have a sling seat. Remove the Convex
Insert from the cover.

DO NOT use with multiple individuals if this product becomes soiled or contaminated.
