Taking the drive wheel rim apart

WARNING!

Risk of injury - release air from tyre

Before taking the wheel rim apart, release air from the pneumatic tyre.
Failure to do so may cause damage to the tyre, rim and/or bodily injury.

The rim can be taken apart to allow fitting or removal of solid or
pneumatic tyres.

1.

Remove the wheel from the wheelchair. See
5.6.1

Drive wheels, Page 221.

2.

If the tyre is pneumatic, release the air.

3.

Remove the six screws holding the two halves of the rim
together.

4.

Take the rim apart.
