Removing Spacers for Additional Seat Depth:
If additional seat depth is needed, attach the hardware to the Tru-Shape
Back without using the spacers. Use the ¾” flathead screws instead of
the 1½” flathead screws.
WARNING:
Removing the spacers from the attachment assembly
may result in interference, which may jeopardize effectiveness and user
safety and cause damage. Before use, check for component / wheelchair
interference.
Spacers add ⅝” seat depth.

Notes about installation:

The Tru-Shape back support wood plate includes multiple sets of T-nut patterns. It may be necessary to use different T-nuts,
depending on the back height of the Tru-Shape (especially on Quickie chairs). After installation, confirm that sufficient back
adjustment in the track assembly is available.

The shell bracket for Tru-Shape is available in two sizes. The small shell bracket uses four screws; the large shell bracket uses
six screws. The required screws are provided.

Remove the female tracks (B): On each side, remove the two screws (A) that attach the female track (B) to the shell
bracket (C).

Attach the shell bracket to the back support wood plate (D):
a. Locate the countersunk holes (four or six) on the shell bracket (C).
b. Line up the screw (E), the shell bracket (C), and the spacer (F) with the back support wood plate (D).
c. Use the hex key to lightly fasten all screws. After all screws are engaged, tighten securely.

Attach the female tracks to the shell bracket (C):
a. On both sides: Line up the holes on the shell bracket (C) with the female track (B). Make sure that the release
levers (G) point out and away from each other.
b. Using the screws (A), attach the female tracks to the shell bracket. Make sure that the screws are evenly tightened
for correct alignment.
WARNING:
After installation is complete, check for alignment with the mounting bracket. See “Cleaning and
Alignment - Tracks” in this manual.
Assembly - Tru-Shape Shell Bracket
The hardware may already be attached to the back support. Follow these instructions if the hardware is not
already attached to the back support or if reattachment is required.
