TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER
ADJUSTMENTS
POWER
Each digital temperature controller and LED
display comes equipped with a soft power
button, which turns the respective cooling
system ON or OFF. If when power is applied to
the cabinet and the display reads OFF simply
press the blue soft button once to turn the
cooling system ON. When the controller is ON it
will display the current temperature reading.
DEFROST
Controllers controlling a freezer section are
programmed with an automatic defrosting cycle
for the evaporator coil (cooling coil). During this
cycle the display will read DEF. Once the
defrost cycle is complete it will return to a
temperature reading in the display. These
controllers are also equipped with a soft defrost
button on the front of the controller panel which
is signified by a melting snowflake. If depressed
on a freezer section it will automatically put the
system into a defrost cycle. Upon completion of
the cycle the controller will return to normal
cooling mode. Although this button is enabled, it
should not be necessary to use for additional
defrost cycles. Models which to do not require a
programmed defrost cycle, refrigerators and
wine coolers, this button has been disabled.
LIGHT
All controllers are equipped with a soft light
button on the front of the controller panel. This
button has been disabled and will not turn on the
light in the cabinet. The lights have a manual
switch located near each light, which can
manually turn on the light for displaying product
behind glass doors. The light is also equipped
with a door switch that turns on the light upon a
door opening. Leaving the light on for extended
periods of time may increase the cabinet
temperature and in turn product temperature,
especially in close proximity to the light at the
top and cause the refrigeration system to run
longer.
ADJUSTING THE SET-POINT
The set point is the temperature at which when
obtained will cause the controller to turn off the
cooling system. To adjust the set point simply
press the soft „SET‟ button located on the front
of the controller panel. Upon pressing, the
current set point will be displayed. Press the
„UP‟ or „DOWN‟ arrow buttons located on the
front of the controller panel to the new desired
set point. The controller will now memorize this
new set point.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Dependent on the model
and configuration, the controllers have been
programmed to only allow a temperature
adjustment within a specified range (see
chart below for the specified range allowed
for your cabinet).
