QOS - Priority Queuing
Priority Queuing (PQ) allows the users to configure the router to allow specific traffic
bound for an outgoing interface to be prioritized into high, medium, normal and low
queues. Packets sent to the high priority queue are serviced first, followed by the packets on
the medium queue and so on. The router can configure outbound traffic to specific queues
based upon protocol, addresses and incoming interfaces.
To enable Priority Queuing you must configure a Priority list which contains the criteria
items for the outbound packets. Each packet will be compared to item #1 in the Priority
List and then progress down the list of items in order until a match is found. When a match
is found, the comparison search will stop and the packet will be given the priority
configured for that item. Thus more specific priority criteria should be defined at the
beginning of the list.
To define item criteria within a Priority List:

Once the Priority List is defined, the Priority List can be assigned to a Remote Site interface
or the LAN interface.
