Cylinder head gasket

To remove and to fit

Operation 3-10

Align the gasket on the dowels in the cylinder block.

Cautions:

The gasket must only be fitted with the markings (1) facing up.

When fitting a new gasket it must be replaced with a gasket of the same thickness as originally fitted. The
gasket thickness can be identified by the part number that is stamped on the gasket.

The correct piston height must be maintained to prevent damage to the pistons and valves and ensure that
the engine conforms to emission legislation.

Note: Always fit dry.
