1.4.17 TOYOTA-
2003-2005 Toyota vehicles have radios that appear to be the same but use different
harnesses. Unfortunately, because the radios have the same outward appearance, the
only way to determine which harness to use is to remove the radio and visually confirm
the connector on the back of the radio. If the harness part# PXHTY1 harness does
not fit into the connector on your radio, you will also need the harness part# PXHTY2
adapter harness that will adapt the PXHTY1 to fit the newer style radio connectors.
1.4.18 VOLKSWAGEN-
We recommend using the PXHVW2 harness on single DIN (2” tall) style radios to
install the Audio2car behind the radio. For double-DIN style radios use the PXHVW3
harness.
When installing in either a single DIN style radio (2” tall) or a double DIN (4” tall) style
radio, the factory CD changer cable may be connected. Disconnect the factory CD
changer cable and replace it with the PXHVW3 cable.
