Shade Slat Installation
Slide shade slats in from end, fasten with ( TYPE X ) self tapping screws.
One Purlin has holes along the top of the
purlin to fasten the shade slats
The center shade slat will need to be
fastened on every purlin, this will keep
the purlins straight and in line with each
other.

Deluxe Shade
Regular Shade
Place first shade slat in center on top of purlins,fasten with
( TYPE X ) self tapping screws. Place rest of shade slats every
4" center to center on either side of center shade slat.
Beam
Shade Slats
Fasten every slat on the
outside purlins.
The center shade slat
will need to be fastened
on every purlin, this will
keep the purlins straight
and in line with each other.
NOTE:
Ensure that post and beam are square
before fastening braces
Predrill 2- 3/8"holes through the outside wall of the
vinyl beam, fasten each ply of the braces to the beams
with two type (U) wood screws
(3/16" X 2 1/2")
fasten through the beam into the brace and plug
the holes with 3/8" plugs.
Fasten the bottom of the brace to the post with
one type (W) 5" screw per brace.
