3.8.3

Option Registers

Common option registers have their own buttons, which display option bit values. Setting bit values this
way is easier and less prone to error than combining the bit values into a number yourself (Figure 16).

Interacting with EPROM

Data is not permanently saved until you write it to EPROM memory! (Figure 17)

Figure 17 Setup Data Tab: Saving or Rejecting Point Changes

1. Click an option register button to
display its point values.

2. Option registers are bit-oriented.
Check the option values you want.
They will be written to the

Write to

Modbus

 data field.

3. The bit-values as combined in the

Modbus register are in the

Write to

Modbus

 data field.

4. Click

Set

 to store the values.

(Values are saved, but must be
separately saved in EPROM to make
them permanent.)

Click

Save Memory

to write points list to EPROM.

Click Load Memory t

o write registers from EPROM. This is

effectively a “Cancel” operation, returning you to your last

memory save.

Click

Load Default

to set all points to default values. You are

starting over by selecting this option.
