1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a PCE-LDC 10 from PCE Instruments.
The leakage detector PCE-LDC 10 is used for many different applications in the industry.
For example it finds place in compressed air-, gas-, steam- and vacuum systems. The soundproofed
headphone helps to work in loud areas. It also finds use at places where gas can stream out of pipes.
The leakage detector PCE-LDC 10 helps there because the sound of streaming gas can be in the
ultrasonic regions.
The leakage detector converts the ultrasound in a hearable frequency. The mounted laser additionally
helps to aim the leak. The hopper is designed to bundle the sound waves and suppress interferences.
2 Safety notes
Always switch on the device, before putting on the headphones! In case of high signal levels (bar
graph in the red zone), the volume can be correspondingly high. The volume can be reduced with
the help of the sensitivity adjustment.
Please maintain a sufficient safety distance during the leak checking on electric systems, in order to
avoid dangerous electrical shocks!
Never point the laser directly into the eyes! Absolutely devoid a direct irradiation of the eyes of
humans and animals!
Observe the prescribed storage and operating temperatures.
The warrantee shall be void in case of an improper use or an exposure to excessive force.
