Make a measurement by pushing the release button on the top of the impact device. The measurement value will
then be indicated in the LC display. Before pushing the release button, make sure that the sample as well as the
impact device and impact body stand solidly. In addition, the direction of the starting force should be aligned with
the axis of the impact device.
If the measurement results are outside the range of the conversion chart, "E" will be displayed.
You must not push the release button if the impact device is not in contact with the sample as otherwise, the
support ring can come off easily.
Every portion of the sample must be measured 2 to 5 times. The results should not be below or above the average
value ±15 HL.
The distance between any two points of impact or between the middle of any one point of impact and the edge of a
sample should fulfil the requirements of the following chart.

Data storage
During the measurement, all data are automatically saved to the memory and the consecutive number of saved
measurement values is increased by 1. The meter can save up to 50 sets of data along with the measuring
conditions. When the memory is full, the oldest entry will automatically be deleted, so that the new value can be
saved.
