Maintenance Procedure
The unit is designed to require minimal maintenance and cleaning. However, it is mandatory to follow the
outlined procedures to prevent long term problems.
Due to the nature of the chemistry used in disinfectants, it is common for residue to build up inside the tubes
and nozzle. If the accumulation is left untreated for too long, problems with the nozzle, spraying pattern,
blockage, and reduction of the output pressure may surface.
To prevent such problems, a daily rinsing of the internal components of the unit is mandatory. At the end of
the workday, empty the tank in a suitable container and fill with warm water. Activate the unit for at least 30
seconds to properly clean the internals. This will allow the pump to purge itself, along with the tubes and the
nozzle, of any leftover disinfectant.
This procedure should also be observed whenever the disinfectant being sprayed is changed.
The unit must never be stored with disinfectant solution still left in the tank.
Cleaning Procedure
The unit comes pre-equipped with
1
of 2 nozzles: a green (60 micron) or a purple (70 micron) nozzle. Please
contact your seller if you wish to change or buy additional nozzles. The dwell time varies with the droplet size,
4 to 6 minutes for the 60 micron (green), 6-10 minutes for the 70 micron (purple) Please refer to the dwell
time needed for your disinfectant to choose the correct nozzle.
The nozzle should only be removed if the cleaning procedures detailed below do not resolve your problems. In
that event, call your seller to have the nozzle serviced by a trained technician. To
clean the unit, use a dry rag
to wipe the unit. Make sure that the unit is fully dry before using it. Due to the nature of the electrostatic
technology, a damp unit can cause shocking to the user.
In
the
event the sprayer is experiencing abnormal spray pattern or a no spray scenario, take a damp cloth and
firmly wipe the tip of the nozzle. Ensure to wipe the orifice of the nozzle firmly to dislodge any debris or dried
disinfectant.
Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This
will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained. Contact your reseller if you need to have
the unit serviced.
