PATON

 Cooler

GENERAL PROVISIONS

The autonomous cooling unit PATON Cooler-7/8S is designed to provide high-quality cooling and circulation of the operating fluid in a closed
system when working with welding devices.

Autonomous Cooling Units are used when welding at high currents (>300A) and they are an integral part of welding equipment (tungsten arc
inert gas welding machines, semi-automatic welding machines, air plasma cutting units, etc.). In the welding torch, the handle cavity and the
torch or plasmatron head can be cooled, as well as, depending on the design, the power cable. If the autonomous cooling unit is operated
with water, then the ambient temperature should be in the range from +2

C to + 40

C.

The use of water is extremely undesirable, since the salts contained in it, precipitating on the walls, form a salt layer. The salt layer, as a heat
insulator,  impairs  cooling  and,  increasing  with  time,  reduces  the  cross  section  of  the  fluid  passage,  which  can  damage  the  torch  or  the
plasmatron.  There  is  a  special  liquid  for  cooling  welding  equipment  of  the  BTC-15  or  BTC-50  brand,  produced  by  the  German  company
ABICOR  BINZEL,  with  high  heat  dissipation  and  lubricating  properties  for  block  pumps.  The  cooling  agent  BTC-15  (BTC-50)  blocks  the
formation of electrolyte deposit (on the walls of the cooling unit, inlet and outlet tubes and internal cavities of the torches) and it can be used
in various conditions.

 Coolant filler neck;

 The on / off button with indication of the included state (form and color decorative);

 Fuse (5A);

 Connector for signaling to the device;

 Connector for connecting the control buttons on the burner;

 Quick-release fitting for coolant supply to the burner;

 Quick-release fitting for draining coolant from the burner;

 Power supply cable for power connection.
