An hour strike in passing
An exclusive striking mechanism makes the
Reference 5275 a delight for the ear as well as the
eye. At the top of each hour, a hammer strikes a
single blow on a gong, in perfect synchrony with
the instantaneous jump in the hour aperture. This
completely new function recalls Patek Philippe’s
unparalleled mastery in the field of striking
watches. The sound indication may be deactivated
at will, using the small slide at 10 o’clock. A
patented lifting lever secures the system against
accidental mishandling.
Settings
• Before you perform any corrections or settings, wind
the watch by hand.
• Pull the crown out (1).
• Turn the crown clockwise to set the minute hand.
• Turn the crown counterclockwise to set the hour display.
• Push the winding crown home again (2).

Recommendations
WATER RESISTANCE
Although your watch is equipped with a water-
resistant crown, it is not protected at all against
the ingress of moisture.
Therefore, exercise care to ensure that liquid does
not come into contact with your watch.
Instructions
To activate the acoustic signal, operate the small
slide switch (ON/OFF) at 10 o’clock (3). This will
cause a hammer to strike every full hour on a gong.
