2.3 System Warm-Up
The processors that drive the SatAimer user interface don’t need a long warm-up, and start in
under three minutes, regardless of the temperature. However, the modem that enables
communications to come online needs to warm up before you’ll get a satellite network
connection. This is important to keep in mind—you don’t necessary have a network connection
just because you’re able to open the SatAimer interface.
The G2 SatAimer warms up significantly faster than our previous SatAimers. The expected
modem warm-up time depends on the external temperature as follows:
