SDRAM CAS Latency Time
This item enables you to select the CAS latency time in HCLKs of 2/2 or
3/3. The value is set at the factory depending on the DRAM installed. Do
not change the values in this field unless you change the specifications of
the installed DRAM or the installed CPU. The default setting is 3.
SDRAM Precharge Control
This option sets the number of cycles required for the RAS (Row Address
Strobe) to accumulate a charge before the SDRAM refreshes. Reduce the
precharge time to 2 to improve SDRAM performance. The default setting
is Disabled.
Note!
If a precharge time setting of
2
is insufficient for the installed
SDRAM, the SDRAM may not be refreshed properly and may fail to
store data. Set the precharge time to
3
if the system becomes unstable.
DRAM Data Integrity Mode
Set this to ECC (error-correcting code) or Non-ECC according to the type
of installed DRAM. The default setting is Non-ECC.
System BIOS/Video RAM Cacheable
These items allow the video and system to be cached in memory for faster
execution. Leave these items at the default setting for better performance.
The default setting is Enabled.
8-Bit I/O Recovery Time
This item allows you to determine the recovery time allowed for 8-bit I/O.
The recovery time is the length of time (measured in CPU clocks) in
which the system delays after the completion of an input/output request.
This delay occurs because the CPU is operating so much faster than the
input/output bus that the CPU must be delayed to allow for the
completion of the I/O. Options are NA and 1 ~ 8. The default setting is 3.
16-Bit I/O Recovery Time
This item allows you to determine the recovery time allowed for 16-bit
I/O. Options are NA and 1 ~ 4. The default setting is 2.
