Care and Cleaning
What?
How? Important!
E veryday soiling on glass
(fi ngerprints , m arks ,
stains le ft by food or
non - sugary spillovers on
the glass ) .
1. Switch the power to the cooktop off .
2. A pply a cooktop cleaner while the
glass is s ti ll war m (b ut not hot !) .
3. R inse and wipe dry with a clean cloth
or paper towel.
4. Switch the power to the cooktop
back on.
• When the power to the cooktop is switched
off, there will be no ‘hot surface’ indica ti on
but the cooking zon e m ay s ti ll be hot ! Take
e x tre m e care.
• Heavy - duty scourers , so m e nylon scourers
and harsh / abrasive cleaning agents m ay
scratch the glass. A lways read the label to
check if your cleaner or scourer is suitable.
• N ever leave cleaning residue on the cookto p:
the glass m ay beco m e stained.
Boilovers , m elts , and
hot sugary spills on
the glass.
R e m ove these i mm ediately with a fi sh
slice , pale tt e knife or raz or blade
scraper suitable for Ind uc ti on glass
cooktops , but beware of hot cooking
zon e surfaces :
1. Switch the power to the cooktop off
at the wall.
2. Hold the blade or utensil at a 30°
angle and scrape the soiling or spill
to a cool area of the cooktop.
3. Clean the soiling or spill up with a
dish cloth or paper towel.
4. Follow steps 2 to 4 for ‘ E veryday
soiling on glass’ above.

sugary food or spillovers as soon
as possible

glass , they m ay be di ffi cult to
re m ove or even per m anently
d am age the glass surface.
• Cut ha zar d : w hen the safety cover
is retracted , the blade in a scraper
is raz or - sharp. Use with e x tre m e
care and always store safely and
out of reach of children.
Spillovers on the
touch controls. 1. Switch the power to the cooktop off .
2. Soak up the spill.
3. W ipe the touch control area with a
clean d am p sponge or cloth.
4. Wipe the area co m pletely dry
with a paper towel.
5. Switch the power to the cooktop
back on.
• The cooktop m ay beep and turn
itself off, and the touch controls
m ay not func ti on while there is
li qu id on the m. Mak e sure you wipe the
touch control area dry before turning the
cooktop back on.
