Switching off the device
Set the temperature control
3
back to
MIN
.
To prevent heat from building up inside the unit,
allow the fan to continue running approx. 2 min
more before setting the heat switch
2
to the
0
position.
To actually switch the device off, unplug the
mains plug to disconnect the heater fan from
the mains.
Overheat protection
This appliance is fitted with overheating protection.
If the device overheats, the heating element will au-
tomatically switch off. However, the fan will continue
to run to ensure fast cooling. The device will automat-
ically restart once it has cooled down accordingly.
ATTENTION! There typically is a reason
for overheating! It can indicate a fire
hazard!
Check if the device is able to emit heat adequate-
ly: is the device covered or too close to a wall
or another obstacle? Are the front and rear
grates clear? Has the fan jammed?
If possible, correct the problem or contact the
Service hotline (see chapter Service).
Even if you are unable to determine the cause
and the overheat protection is tripped again,
you will need to switch the device off and con-
tact the Service hotline (see chapter “Service”).
