Appliance-specific safety instructions

To avoid the risk of injury or fire as well as
health risks:

Hold the power tool by the insulated grip-
ping surfaces when carrying out work
during which the power tool may contact
hidden power cables or the device’s mains
lead.

Contact with a live cable can also make

metal parts of the appliance live and could result
in an electric shock.

Wear a dust mask!

When working outdoors, connect the appliance
via a fault current circuit breaker with a maximum
tripping current of 30 mA.

Secure the workpiece. Use clamps/vice to hold
the workpiece firmly in place. This is safer than
simply holding it in your hand.

Do not rest your hands next to or in front of the
appliance and the area being worked as there
is a risk of injury if you slip.

In case of danger, remove the power plug from
the socket immediately.

Always route the power cord towards the rear,
away from the appliance.

RISK OF FIRE DUE TO FLYING SPARKS!
If you are sawing metal, sparks will occur.
Ensure that nobody is put at risk and that no
combustible materials are located in the imme-
diate vicinity of your working space.

WARNING! TOXIC DUSTS!

Working with the tool can produce harmful/
toxic dusts which represent a health hazard
for the person operating the appliance and
for anyone else in the vicinity.
Wear safety goggles and a protective dust
mask!

Materials containing asbestos may not be pro-
cessed. Asbestos is a known carcinogen.

When sawing construction materials, make sure
to follow the statutory regulations and recom-
mendations from the manufacturers.

Never work on moistened materials or damp
surfaces.

Always switch the appliance on before applying
it to the material.

CAUTION!

Avoid contact with solid objects if the appli-
ance is running – risk of kickback!

The footplate   must always make contact with
the workpiece when the appliance is running.

Always switch the appliance off and allow it to
coast before putting it down.

Only use sharp saw blades which are in perfect
condition. Replace cracked, bent or blunt saw
blades immediately.

The appliance must always be kept clean, dry
and free from oil or grease.

Original accessories/auxiliary
equipment

Use only the accessories and additional
equipment

that are specified in the operat-

ing instructions and are compatible with
the appliance.

Using attachments or acces-

sory tools other than those recommended in
the operating instructions can lead to a risk of
injury.
