Assembly
Remove the battery from the
device before carrying out
any work on the device.
Only use original parts.
Dismantling is carried out in reverse
order.
Remove/insert battery
1. To remove the battery (11) from the
device, press the release button on the
battery and pull the battery out.
2. To insert the battery (11), push the
battery along the guide rail into the
device. You will hear it click into place.
Only insert the rechargeable
batteries once the device is
completely assembled. Risk
of injury!
Mounting the saw chain
Wear cut-resistant gloves while
working with the saw chain.
Pay attention to the correct rotation
direction of the saw chain (2). This
is specified on the
chain wheel co-
ver (5)and on the blade (1).
Tension the saw chain in accordan-
ce with the first 5-6 steps.
See section “Tensioning the saw
chain”.
1. Place the device on a level surface.
2. Remove the sprocket cover (5) by loos-
ening the wing nut (3)
.
3. Place the sawing chain (2) into the bla-
de groove. Place the sawing chain (2)
into the chain sprocket (25).
4. Place the blade bar (1) and saw chain
(2) onto the rail bolts (24). When the
nose on the right below the guide bolt
sits in the lower round recess on the
blade bar, the blade bar is placed cor-
rectly. It is normal for the saw chain (2)
to sag.
5. Put the chain wheel cover (5) on. Only
lightly tighten the wing nut (3) of the
chain wheel cover as the saw chain
must still be tensioned.
6. Tension the saw chain (2) by turning
the ring (4) of the chain tensioning
