Checking the battery
charge level
The battery’s (
9) charge level is indicat-
ed by the charge state indicator (
9a).
• The charge level of the battery is
indicated by illumination of the corre-
sponding LED lights while the device is
in operation. Press and hold the power
button to view.

Charge the battery (
9) when
only the red LED on the level indica-
tor is illuminated.
Recharging the battery
Allow a hot battery to cool before
charging.
Only charge the battery (9) when
the red LED on the charge status
indicator (9a) is on.
1. Remove the battery (9) from the appli-
ance, as necessary (see „Removing/
inserting the battery“).
2. Insert the battery (9) in the charging
compartment of the battery charger
(14).
3. Plug the battery charger (14) into a
mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully recharged un-
plug the battery charger (14) from the
mains.
5. Remove the battery (9) from the charg-
er (14).

Changing the tool
Secure the appliance against
switching on (see “Switch-
ing on/off”). If the appliance
is switched on accidentally,
there is a danger of injury.
1. Rotate the keyless chuck (1) towards
RELEASE
until the drill chuck aperture is
large enough to accommodate the tool.
2. Insert the tool as far as possible into
the keyless chuck (1).
3. Turn the keyless chuck towards
GRIP
in
order to clamp the tool.
4. To remove the tool again, rotate the
keyless chuck (1) towards
RELEASE
until
the drill chuck aperture is large enough
to remove the tool.
