Typical Applications

The ELL-1 Controller is for single level control. It can be field adjusted
to operate the SPDT relay at any two points along 100% of the active
probe length. Those level set-points might be at 48% and 52% for a
typical accumulator, or at 10% and 90% for a typical dump tank or
transfer vessel.

The ELL-2 has three levels of operation: the high and low level auxiliary
switches can be used to shut down a system, or to sound a warning;
the middle level is the same as described for the ELL-1.

The ELL-3 has five levels of operation. The middle level is the same
as for the ELL-1 and the ELL-2, with “On-Off” control of the liquid
level, plus the ELL-3 has two high level and two low level auxiliary
switches. All four of these auxiliary switches may be set at any suitable
height. A typical application would utilize the middle switch to control
operating level on a pumped liquid recirculation package. The two
high level auxiliary switches could be wired to sound an alarm prior to
shutting down the compressor. Low level auxiliary switches could
further be wired to sound an alarm prior to shutting off a pump.

Each of the high and low level auxiliary switches have a 4% differential
built-in to eliminate nuisance cycling.
