3. Inspection Note
Upon receipt of your unit, check for any shipping damage. A damaged carton indicates that the equipment
may have received rough handling during shipping that may have caused possible internal damage.
Notify your delivering carrier and enter a claim if any damage is found.
4. Installation
When your air cleaner is used as a ducted source collector, the enclosure or pickup hood design is important
for adequate capture of contaminants. Drive pulleys and belts have been selected to provide airflow at the design
static pressure specified. Pulley and belt diameters should not be changed without first contacting Parker.
The air cleaner should not be used for support of personnel or material.
4.1 Unit Mounting
Your air cleaner is designed for suspended mounting. It can be provided with eyebolts for chain
hanging, but the length of chain should be kept to a minimum. The preferred method of hanging is with
1/2” all-thread rod, threaded directly into the 1/2” weld nuts provided in the top of the cabinets.
If chain is used, it should be welded-link-type with a 1,000 lb. test strength or better. “S” hooks used for
connections should be closed. The chain should be hung vertically. If any angle is introduced, the chain
and fasteners should be sized to handle the added tension. Figures 1A and 1B show the acceptable
methods for suspending the units.

Weight of DA unit without filters is 170 lbs. Model DB unit without filters is 270 lbs. Model DBM unit
without filters is 183 lbs. See Tables 1 and 2 for weights of filter components.
