Install the 37-P-53 spring from the
540-*AK mounting kit over the
countershaft extension. (Fig. 7)
Now install the roller bearing
560964 in the countershaft as
shown in Fig. 8.
Place the 31-P-76 thrust washer
next to the input gear. Now place
the 57-P-22 clutch in the 540- *AK
housing with its clutch teeth
engaged to the sliding input gear.
