S37:
Auto Redial
Auto Redial is a new configuration option that works in
conjunction with the Bad Lines Auto Originate and Rate
Auto Originate options. It is available from the Leased
Line group on modems with a shared or integral
Diagnostic Control Panel, and can be set with the
S37 command on all 3800 Series modems. It allows
repeated automatic dial backup attempts by specifying the
range of Directory Locations that can be tried. From the
DCP, possible values for Auto Redial are:
Dir 1:
The modem will use only Directory Location 1
for automatic dial backups.
Dirs 1–2:
The modem will use Directory Location 2 in
the event of call failure using Directory
Location 1.
Dirs 1–3:
The modem will use Directory Location 3 in
the event of call failure using the preceding
entries.
Dirs 1–4:
The modem will use Directory Location 4 in
the event of call failure using the preceding
entries.
Dirs 1–5:
The modem will use Directory Location 5 in
the event of call failure using the preceding
entries.
Dirs 1–6:
The modem will use Directory Location 6 in
the event of call failure using the preceding
entries.
Dirs 1–7:
The modem will use Directory Location 7 in
the event of call failure using the preceding
entries.
Dirs 1–8:
The modem will use Directory Location 8 in
the event of call failure using the preceding
entries.
Dirs 1–9:
The modem will use Directory Location 9 in
the event of call failure using the preceding
entries.
Dirs 1–10: The modem will use Directory Location 10 in
the event of call failure using the preceding
entries.
