Wireless Repeater Programming (RPT1/RPT1+)
Use the following section to program the wireless repeaters on your SP+ Series control panel.
Wireless Repeater Assignment
Use worksheet 22 to record your settings when assigning wireless repeaters to your SP+ Series control panel. To reset wireless repeaters, see
NOTE:
For automatic assignment, press the wireless repeater’s anti-tamper switch, while in the repeater’s respective section.
Wireless Repeater Signal Strength
The signal strength for wireless repeaters is visible in sections
[548]
and
[549]
; these sections represent repeaters 1 and 2, respectively. To view the signal strength,
proceed as follows:
1.
Enter the wireless repeater’s respective section (e.g., for repeater 1, enter section
[548]
).
2.
Press the repeater’s anti-tamper switch. As shown in table 16, the number of beeps correspond to a preset signal strength range.
NOTE:
The visual representation of a repeater’s signal strength is dependent on the type of keypad. For LED keypads, zones 1 through 10 will illuminate, depending
on the signal strength. For instance, a signal strength of 8 will result in zones 1 through 8 to illuminate. For LCD keypads, a ten-level progress bar composed of
arrows will appear, followed by the numeric value. For a signal strength of 8, eight arrows will appear, followed by the number 8.
