The air sucked up by a fume extractor hood is recirculated or recycled through special active carbon filters.
Their function is to filter out the fumes from the air and send it back out into the room.
This option should only be used in the event that a flue to take fumes and gases out of the kitchen cannot
be installed or if the smell of such fumes and gases would be a problem in the place to which they would
be evacuated. The latter case may also involve an ecological option, to avoid releasing gases or pollutants
into the atmosphere.
The use of carbon filters means the hood has less aspiration power, as the air is filtered through the metallic
filters and the carbon filters.
It is recommended that the filters be changed every 6 months, depending on their use, though they can be
effective for up to a year if the user takes care to keep the metal filters clean, so preventing the carbon filters
from becoming covered in grease particles which block up the fibre on their surface. Active carbon filters
are neither washable nor reusable.

1· No efectuar nunca una reducción de
diámetro de tubo, inmediatamente a la
salida de la tobera de la campana.
2· Realizar siempre la reducción de
diámetro de tubo de forma paulatina.
3· No realizar nunca las reducciones, donde
existan curvas o codos, dentro de la
instalación. DEBEN DE REALIZARSE
SIEMPRE EN TRAMOS RECTOS Y A LA
MAYOR DISTANCIA POSIBLE DE LA
CAMPANA.
4· Evitar en lo posible que la instalación
contenga demasiadas curvas o codos. Si
existieran,intentar que los mismos tengan
el mínimo número de grados de giro
posible.
