8. Operating Instructions
•
Never test cables that are under mains voltage (e.g.: 230 V)!
•
Always switch OFF the device when it is not in use.
•
Please refer to the sketches on the first pages of this manual.
•
In low light conditions, you can illuminate the point. To do this, press the
button (20).
Functions
•
Line search
Identify and track individual, telephone, and network lines (RJ45,
RJ11, BNC)
•
Network cable Test
Checking the most common failures of network lines (Faulty wiring,
short circuits, interruptions and split-pair faults)
•
DC level test
(Level, positive or negative)
•
Telephone line test
(free, ring or busy)
•
Audible continuity
•
Connection test
Check the connection between the network cable and the switch
Identify and track individual, telephone, and network lines
This function allows you to quickly find the pair you are looking for from a
variety of lines. Direct connection for RJ11, RJ45 and BNC connectors. Other
cables can be found with the help of the adapters.
•
Turn on the transmitter.
•
Connect the cable to the appropriate jack.
•
Set the function selector switch (6) to the right position (SCAN). The audio
status indicator lights up - the transmitter sends an audio signal to the
line.
