NOTES)
G.L. Nozzle
G.L. is used to balance the shield gas, in the following list its advantage:
●
A well shield though in low flux of shield gas.
●
Longer electrode extension makes weld possible in narrow place and protect the nozzle.
So it characteristic in complex welding and high quality.
2.5 Selection of collet and collet body
●
Select a collet and collet body on the electrode diameter.
2.6 Connection at the joint section of torch
2.7 Installation of torch body
●
Assemble as shown in the following figure.
Tighten the collet body and collet fastener firmly. Loose tightening of these
parts may generate heat. The collet may adhere to collet body, and generated
heat may cause burns.
The electrode extension should always be kept at 4-5m. When the electrode
end is inside the nozzle, the nozzle may be damaged by arc heat.
2.8 Post-flow of shield gas
●
Keep flowing the shield gas while the electrode’s red heat is still on in order to prevent the
tungsten electrode from oxidation at the end of welding.
2.9 When the torch is fixed
●
In case of using the fixed torch, either insulate the fixing metal from the base(work piece) or insert
an insulator of more than 5mm in thickness between the fixing metal and the torch.
(
insulation
resistance more than 100MΩ
)
2.10 The use of TIG MATE(Auto TIG feeder)
●
Use the TIG torch with TIG MATE (the accessory (CFU00003) is needed.)
Loose joint of the torch may generate heat, leak gas(water), and
generated heat may cause burns. Tighten necessary parts firmly.
