Installation precautions
Warning
●
Always ask a retailer to perform these operations.
●
Turn off the repeater before installation. Carefully read the
“Precautions” chapter and follow all of its instructions. Also
refer to the manual of the devices you are connecting.
●
In order to avoid damages, properly install the repeater
to a wall according to the instructions in this manual.
When installing the repeater, follow all official ordinances on electrical equipment
technical standards.
Do not power ON the repeater while installing it.
●
Make sure that the repeater is powered OFF while installing it.
Installation
●
Do not use for extended periods of time in very hot or humid environments. The unit will
degrade more quickly and its expected lifespan will be reduced. Improve heat dissipation
near the installation place and make sure that the unit is not hit by direct sunlight.
Installation place
●
Install the unit within a range where it can communicate with the center module.
●
When placed between the center module and the repeater, devices such as displays or
projectors may cause interference and result in audio dropouts. Make sure that the
repeater has line-of-sight access to the center module.
●
Place the repeater at as high a place as possible. Otherwise, people passing across the
low line-of-sight between the repeater and the center module may cause interferences
or audio dropouts.
●
This system uses the same frequency (1.9 GHz) as other devices which use the DECT
standard, such as cordless phones. Using this system on the same floor as a cordless
phone or other DECT device may cause interferences and stuttering transmission.
●
Using this system in an environment surrounded by metal (copper, aluminum, iron, etc.)
walls, floor, or ceiling may cause the radio waves to be excessively reflected, resulting in a
phenomenon known as “multipath fading”. Multipath fading can cause transmission errors
(such as audio dropouts) even if the signal is strong enough.

Make sure that there are no objects such as concrete walls or metal panels (partitions,
wall-mounted lockers, doors, etc.) between the repeater and the center module, as
these will obstruct the transmission of radio waves.
