A “one-ring call” (wan-giri in Japanese) rings your phone only once, in
an attempt to make you call back to a service that automatically bills you
very high charges.
The
icon at the head of an incoming record indicates
that the call rang for only four seconds or less. This
indicates a possible “one-ring call”.
