A timer programming event for Reminder will be cleared in the following conditions:
●
Off or Standby mode from the start time to the end time.
•
Pressing the OK button to view or the EXIT button to cancel while a reminder message appears.
•
Not pressing the OK or EXIT button from the start time to the end time.
•
“!” identifies that any timer programming events have overlapped. “Ext Rec.” is given priority over “Reminder”. As
●
for the overlapped two or more “Ext Rec.”, the first timer programming event starts and finishes as programmed.
The next timer programming event can then start.
2 mins. before the starting time, a reminder message appears if you are watching TV.

Ext Rec. of Timer Programming will automatically change to the programmed channel 10 seconds before the start

time.
To stop recording the timer programming event directly prior to the start time, it is necessary to stop the recorder

manually.
Ext Rec. of Timer Programming will be performed even if the TV is in Pause Live TV recording (p. 59). In this
●
case, Pause Live TV recording will be cancelled.

Timer Programming
Timer Programming from Menu
The Timer Programming menu allows you to choose programmes that you wish to remind watching or
record to the external recorder. At the correct time, the TV will tune to the correct channel automatically
to record even if the TV is in Standby mode.

Timer Programming can be stored up to 15 events.
●
The TV must be either On or in standby for Ext Rec. of Timer Programming.
●
No other channel can be selected while Ext Rec. of Timer Programming is in progress.
●
It may not be possible to record an encrypted programme (which is copy-protected).
●
When recording programmes, be sure to make the proper settings on the recorder connected to the TV.
●
If a compatible recorder with Q-Link or similar technologies is connected to the TV (p. 56) and the “Link Settings”
(p. 30) are completed, no setting of the recorder is required. Also read the manual of the recorder.
If the recorder is not compatible with Q-Link or similar technologies, set “Q-Link” in the Setup Menu (p. 30) to the

connected terminal (AV1 or AV2), and make timer programming of the recorder. For preparations of a recorder,
read the manual of the recorder.
Recording is possible in composite video via SCART only, including HD content.
