SMS / Phone Book
SMS messages can be sent or read with the CheckNet. You can also register phone numbers
to the phone book.
Select [SMS] to display the [SMS View] screen.
When you receive SMS
The number of unread SMS will be indicated in [Mail] on
the CheckNet window, and a received SMS will be listed
in [SMS View] with an asterisk(*) in [New] column.
To send new SMS
In the [SMS View] screen, select [Send] -[New Mes-
sage].
Write destination phone number or select it from the
phone book (select [To] and double click the Name).
Write a message and select [Send].
To reply to SMS
At [SMS View] screen, select the message and select
[Send] - [reply message].
Write a message and select [Send].
NOTE
About the characters used in SMS
Characters not available for SMS:
Refer to Table 1 and Table 2 on page 14 for the characters available for SMS.
Up to 160 characters can be received or sent.
Note, however, that since the characters in Table 2 on page 14 are treated as 2-byte
characters, the number that can be received or sent becomes less than 160 if these
characters are used.
