Making calls

Dial the phone number.
R To correct a digit, press M Clear N .

Press to M / N make the call.
R To make the call using the
speakerphone, press
M / N again.
R An available line is automatically
selected and corresponding line icon is
displayed. To change the line selection
mode, see page 9.
R You can also select the line manually
by pressing
M LINE N and the
corresponding line number ( M 1 N to M 4 N ).

When you finish talking, press M OFF N or
place the handset on the charger.
Note:
R While talking, you can switch between the
receiver and the speakerphone by pressing
M / N .
Adjusting the receiver or speaker
volume
Press MDN or MCN repeatedly while talking.
Pause (for PBX/long distance service
users)
A pause is sometimes required when making
calls using a PBX or long distance service.
Example: If you need to dial the line access
number “9” when making outside calls with a
PBX:

9 a Press # 2 times.

Note:
R A 3.5 second pause is inserted each time
# is pressed 2 times.
Answering calls

Lift the handset and then press M / N
when the unit rings.
R The called line is automatically
selected.

When you finish talking, press M OFF N or
place the handset on the charger.
Adjusting the ringer volume
n
While the handset is ringing for an
incoming call:
Press MDN or MCN repeatedly to select the
desired volume.
n While the handset is in standby mode:
Press MDN or MCN to select the desired line,
then press MFN or MEN repeatedly to select
the desired volume.
Do Not Disturb mode
Do not disturb mode allows you to select a
period of time during which the unit will not
ring for outside or intercom calls. This feature
is useful for time periods when you do not
want to be disturbed, for example, while
sleeping.

MbN : Select the desired period which you
wish to remain undisturbed (15 minutes -
24 hours).

M Select N
R This feature is turned on and DND
timer will appear on the bottom of the
display.
Note:
R If you turn on the setting on the handset,
the corresponding extension indicator on
base unit and other desk phones lights to
red.
R You can cancel the do not disturb mode by
pressing
M DND N again.
