the adaptor and try again.

The handset’s registration may have been cancelled. Re-register
the handset (page 53).
Check
Phone Line

The supplied telephone line cord has not been connected yet or
not connected properly. Check the connections (page 8).
Error
R
Recording was too short. Try again.
Memory Full
R
The phonebook memory is full. Erase unwanted entries (page 24).
R
The call block list memory is full. Erase unwanted entries
(page 22).
Use
rechargeable
battery.
R
A wrong type of battery such as alkaline or manganese was
inserted. Use only the rechargeable Ni-MH batteries noted on
page 4, 6.
You must first
subscribe
to Caller ID.
R
You must subscribe to a Caller ID service. Once you receive
caller information after subscribing to a Caller ID service, this
message will not be displayed.
Troubleshooting
If you still have difficulties after following the instructions in this section, disconnect the base unit’s AC
adaptor, then reconnect the base unit’s AC adaptor. Remove the batteries from the handset, and then
insert them into the handset again.
If the base unit batteries for power backup are installed, remove the batteries from the base unit, and
then insert them into the base unit again.

even after installing charged

Place the handset on the charger to turn on the handset.
The unit does not work.

Make sure the batteries are installed correctly (page 8).

Fully charge the batteries (page 9).

Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor and remove the batteries from
the handset to reset the unit. Reconnect the adaptor, insert the
batteries into the handset and try again.

The handset display is blank.

The handset is not turned on. Turn the power on (page 14).
