Cause & solution

I cannot send or receive SMS
messages.

You have not subscribed to the appropriate service.
Consult your service provider/telephone company.

L

The SMS message centre number(s) are not stored
or are incorrect. Store the correct numbers (page

L

Message transmission was interrupted. Wait until
the message has been sent before using other
telephone functions.

L

Your unit is connected to a telephone line with
DSL/ADSL service. We recommend connecting a
filter (contact your DSL/ADSL service provider) to
the telephone line between the base unit and the
telephone line jack.

L

Belgium:

To send SMS messages, enter the destination
number followed by the receiver’s terminal number
(“Writing and sending a new message (to a
phone)”, page 41). To receive SMS messages,
store your terminal number after the Message
centre 2 number and tell it to the sender (“Storing
SMS message centre numbers”, page 41).

The SMS message centre number
is logged in the caller list but a
message was not received.
