Creating New Group and Gateway
When first setting up a VoIP network, Unit Groups must first be created. Once a new Unit
Group has been created, New Gateways can be added to the group. Refer to the following
steps and examples given in 1.2 Network Devices and Numbering Plan to create new Unit
Groups and Gateways.

Each newly installed IP Gateway Card must first be initialized with its new IP addressing. To
perform the following operation, the RS-232C cable must be connected to the unit and the
COM port being used on the PC must be properly selected. Refer to 2.2.1 RS-232C Cable
Connection and 4.1.4 Serial Port Setting.
