One computer running CA Server can connect to up to 4 PBXs at the same time. In the example above, PBX
2 and PBX 3 are both connected to one computer running CA Server. A One-look network requires only a
single connection when connecting to CA Server.
Note
•
To allow CA Client version 4.0 users to view other PBXs’ contacts, other CA Servers in the network
must be version 3.0 or later.
•
CA Basic-Express users cannot use network features.
Maximum number of CA Servers
Up to 8 PBXs can be networked with CA Server. Because one CA Server installation is able to support up to
4 servers, multiple installations of CA Server are required to connect to more than 4 PBXs. For example, 2
computers running CA Server connect to 4 PBXs each, for a total of 8 PBX connections. Or, one computer
connects to 4 PBXs, another computer connects to 3 PBXs, and a third computer connects to 1 PBX, for a
total of 8 connections.
Login capabilities when connecting to multiple CA Servers
A maximum of 1022 CA Client users can connect to CA Server. When CA Client users in a network are
connecting to multiple CA Servers, a maximum of 1022 users can connect to all of the CA Servers. Below is
one example where the maximum number of CA Client users are connecting to all of the CA Servers in the
network.
