Using video cassetes
If the video cassette is not being used,
remove it from the unit and
store it in a sleeve.
Avoid recording on the same tape section
several times in order to prevent the cassette
from wearing out prematurely.
Carefully insert the cassette into the DVD Recorder to avoid damage.
Do not expose the video cassette to high humidity, temperature or dust particles.
Do not use defective cassettes and do not try to repair them.
Do not open the housing of the cassette.
Do not open the protective flap on the front side of the cassette and do not touch the tape.
Use high-quality, brand-name tapes, for example from Panasonic.
During the playback of cassettes that were recorded on a different VHS recorder, you
may experience a lower picture quality.
Write protection of cassettes
To protect against the accidental erasing of cassettes, break out the write protection
tab. If you want to record on a protected cassette, cover the hole with a piece of tape.
Cleaning the video heads
Use a cleaning tape to clean the video heads.
